Asado-Tour Tag 1 & 2 - Asamodo

The big Asado Tour 2022 started on Sunday and the guys (Raid Gharib, Oliver Sievers, Tommy from Tommy's Devil's Kitchen, Alexander Bodenschatz, Peter Schliemann) have begun their exploration tour. The tour is organized by Eliseo Monti, Asador and founder of Fuegos Del Norte. You can find out here what they experienced, visited, and explored during their first two days:

1.Station: XChoriX

Her The first stop was the snack bar "Chori," located in the heart of Buenos Aires in the trendy Palermo district. It mainly sells Choripán with various side dishes, similar to Döner style. What is special, however, is that it doesn't just offer the classic Choripán with chorizo and chimichurri in bread, but a variety of different creations. For example, there are vegetarian and vegan alternatives with mushrooms and various vegetables.

2. Station: Grill Restaurant "El Gran Paraíso"

Immediately afterwards, we went to the "la Boca" district, known especially for the stadium of the football team Boca Juniors. In addition to many street food stalls and grill snack bars, there are various grill restaurants there. The guys then stopped by the parrilla restaurant "El Gran Paraiso". There, grill plates are served directly from the grill, prepared on an impressive Parrilla grill. Here, not only the classic Argentine meat cuts are grilled, but also offal, sausages (Chorizos), blood sausages (Morcilla), and plenty of side dishes such as potatoes, salmon, and other specialties are prepared for you.

3rd Station: Traditional Argentine Breakfast

To properly start the second day, the guys first had a typical Argentine breakfast. A traditional "desayuno" naturally includes "Chipas," which are mainly made from cassava starch, cheese, milk, eggs, fat, and salt. Additionally, "dulce de leche," freshly squeezed orange juice, and freshly ground coffee must not be missing.

4.Station: FuegosJL

At noon, they then went to "FuegosJL." This is an Asado grill manufacturer from which they were able to learn a lot about the construction methods, materials, and different models of the grills. They were also shown various tools and cooking methods. The highlight was then the joint grilling. During this, the tour participants could watch the preparation and get inspired for new recipe ideas. In return, they grilled typically German recipes for the Asadores, such as the "Curry-Wurst." This made for a nice German-Argentinian Asado.
